Floyd Mayweather Net Worth: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know by Savantboy(m) : 9:50 am On Aug 05, 2016

Mayweather was undefeated in the ring and it earned him a pretty good paycheck. (Getty)
Floyd Mayweahter is rich.
Really rich. Bordering on absurdly rich.
The top-paid athlete in the entire world, the boxer is worth a reported $300 million and is not only dominant in the ring, but has big-time plans for his financial future as well. Mayweather serves as his own manager and retains all the revenue from tickets, pay-per-view and sponsorships and covers the costs, including the purse for his opponent.
No wonder he’s raking in the cash. Here’s what you need to know about Mayweather’s net worth, his post-fight revenue and his plans outside the ring:
1. Mayweather Is the Highest Paid Celebrity According to Forbes
The boxer isn’t shy about sharing his wealth – or at least photos of it – on his social media accounts. ( Instagram)
Every year Forbespublishes its annual list of the 100-highest earning celebrities. And, for the pats four years, Mayweather has made the list.
This year, though, Mayweather made history.
The boxer was not only the highest paid athlete in the world, he was the highest paid celebrity in the world, earning a reported $300 million between June 2014 and June 2015. That’s almost doublemade by second-place Manny Pacquiao.
Mayweather’s prolific career, and mind-blowing earnings statement, also blew past the previous record held by Tiger Woods who banked $115 million in 2008. No wonder Mayweather is regularly posting photos with money on his social media accounts. He’s got some to spare.
2. He Reportedly Earned ‘At Least’ $220 Million From His Fight Against Manny Pacquio
It was deemed the fight of the century and Mayweather certainly was paid as such.
36 minutes in the ring and Mayweather made a reported $220 millionfor his May 2, 2015 fight against Manny Pacquiao on pay-per-view. To be that into perspective, Tim Duncan has made $235 million in his 18-year career with the San Antonio Spurs.
Overall, the fight generated close to $600 million in revenue and is the most lucrative boxing bout of all time. The money is the result of a guaranteed purse, $72 million in tickets sales and then a record $19 million in closed-circuit revenue as more than 5,000 bars and restaurants showed the fight.
Of course, that $220 million mark does not include the taxes that were taken out, but also don’t include the millions of dollars in merchandising Mayweather made during the fight. According to ESPN, hats in the MGM Grand hotel lobby cost $50 and up and the majority of sales were for Mayweather’s “The Money Team” items.
3. Mayweather Has Endorsement Deals With Hublot, FanDuel & Burger King
Mayweather didn’t have a history with endorsements until he took Pacquio in the ring. (Getty)
In the past, Mayweather has shunned endorsement deals. To be fair, he doesn’t really need them. After all, in 2014 the boxer made $105 million in two fights and not a cent of that came from endorsement deals.
Mayweather did have a deal with Reebok in 2009, but just weeks after signing his multi-million contract with the athletic company he went into a Nike store, spent thousands of dollars and posted it all to social media. Reebok was less than pleased, Mayweather understood and gave them his endorsement money back.
So, overall, Mayweather and endorsements haven’t gone together.
It also hasn’t helped that the top boxer in the world has a history of domestic violence and companies have, reportedly, shunned him. Sports Illustratedeven went so far as to call him “the most hated athlete in professional sports.”
Then, the Mayweather-Pacquio fight was announced and the companies came calling. Burger King, FanDuel and Swiss watchmaker Hublot all inked $1 million dealswith the boxer, looking to get product exposure in the rink. Hublot had placement on the waist of Mayweather’s boxing trunks while FanDuel got its name on the bottom of his leg. Lastly, Burger King’s mascot walked into the ring with Mayweather.
4. He Had a 30-Month, Six Fight Deal With Showtime
They call him “Money” for a reason.
In February, 2013, Mayweather and Showtimeannounced a record-breaking deal that would unite the boxer with the network for the foreseeable future. The deal was a revenue-sharing agreement between SHOWTIME PPV and Mayweather and allowed him to schedule six fights over a period of 30 months.
It also provided a pretty big pay day.
The deal was called the “richest individual athlete deal in all of sports” and wile the financial details were “contractually confidential,” it’s safe to assume the move was a major financial gain for Mayweather.
After all, the Showtime deal meant Mayweather had left his previous deal with HBO. His nine PPV events with the network generated 9.6 million buys and $543 million in television revenue, according to the network.
5. Mayweather Manages His Own Carreer In & Out the Ring

12 Characteristics of a True Christian by Savantboy(m) : 8:44 am On Aug 11, 2016

Matthew 7:21-23is one of the most alarming passages in the Bible. It warns that not everyone who claims Jesus as their Lord is sincerely saved. This means that manythinkthey know Christ, but will come to find out that they never truly knew Him in a saving way. I can vividly remember reading this passage as a college student and being shaken to the core.
The false-conversionidea is echoed in the Parable of the Sower of Mark 4:1-20. There are four types of soils found in this Parable: one that flat-out rejects Christianity, two that seem to be interested in Christianity but don’t prove genuine (they are distracted by the cares of the world or disinterested after hardship), and one “good” soil that truly believes and bears fruit for Christ. Just like the fruitless seed that fell upon rocky and thorny ground, there are Christians who hear the Word of God and attend church regularly who do not show the signs of being saved and are not genuinely converted.
How do we know if we are planted in the good soil? The twelve tests below shared in Gospel Assurance & Warnings (see my review) by Paul Washer will help you understand more clearly what a true Christian looks like according to 1 John.
My goal of this post is not to cause any soundly-saved believer to doubt their salvation–this list should greatly assure you. Rather I want to hold up God’s Word as a mirror for self-examination. None of us are described perfectly below, but the list should confirm many ways God is working in our hearts as believers and bring a sweet assurance of salvation. If looking at this list makes you question if you are a genuine believer, I urge you to get on your knees before God and humbly ask Him to save you and regenerate you by the Spirit.
I invite you to join me in making each of these truths your prayer as you grow more into the image of Christ.
12 Characteristics of a True Christian:
Test 1: We know that we are Christian because we walk in the light ( 1 John 1:4-7). Our style of life is gradually conformed to what God has revealed to us about His nature and will.
Test 2: We know that we are Christian because our lives are marked by sensitivity to sin, repentance, and confession ( 1 John 1:8-10).
Test 3: We know that we are Christian because we keep God’s commands ( 1 John 2:3-4). We desire to know God’s will, strive to obey it, and mourn our disobedience.
Test 4: We know that we are Christian because we walk as Christ walked ( 1 John 2:4-5). We desire to imitate Christ and grow in conformity to Him.
Test 5: We know that we are Christian because we love other Christians, desire their fellowship, and seek to serve them in deed and truth ( 1 John 2:7-11).
Test 6: We know that we are Christian because of our increasing disdain for the world and because of our rejection of all that contradicts and opposes God’s nature and will ( 1 John 2:15-17).
Test 7: We know that we are Christian because we continue in the historic doctrines and practices of the Christian faith and remain within the fellowship of others who do the same ( 1 John 2:18-19).
Test 8: We know that we are Christian because we profess Christ to be God and hold Him in the highest esteem ( 1 John 2:22-24; 4:1-3, 13-15).
Test 9: We know that we are Christian because our lives are marked by a longing and practical pursuit of holiness ( 1 John 3:1-3).
Test 10: We know that we are Christian because we are practicing righteousness ( 1 John 2:28-29; 3:4-10). We are doing those things that conform to God’s righteous standard.
Test 11: We know that we are Christian because we have overcome the world ( 1 John 4:4-6; 5:4-5). Although we are often hard pressed and weary, we press on in faith. We continue following Christ and do not turn back.
Test 12: We know that we are Christian because we believe the things that God has revealed concerning His Son, Jesus Christ. We have eternal life in Him alone ( 1 John 5:9-12).
If we have these qualities, and they are increasing in us, we have evidence that we have come to know God and bear the fruit of a child of God. However, if these qualities are absent from our lives, we should have the greatest concern for our souls. We should be diligent to seek God regarding our salvation. We should reexamine ourselves to see if we are in the faith. We should be diligent to make our calling and election sure ( 2 Corinthians 13:5; 2 Peter 1:8-11).

Why did God prohibit eating meat with blood in it (Genesis 9:4)? by Savantboy(m) : 10:16 am On Aug 13, 2016

Answer:In Genesis 9Noah receives a covenantfrom the Lord. Part of the covenant removed the prior restrictions against eating meat, allowing Noah and his family to kill animals for food. However, the allowance came with this proviso: “But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it” (verse 4).
One reason God prohibited the consumption of animal blood in the Old Testament was to teach respect for the sacredness of life. Blood is viewed as a symbol of life throughout the Bible (see Leviticus 17:11). The Bible’s first mention of the wordbloodis found in Genesis 4:10where God asks the murderer Cain, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground.” The shedding of blood represents the loss of life. In the New Testament, the “blood of Christ” is a common figure of speech for the “death of Christ” ( Ephesians 2:13; 1 Peter 1:19).
Under the Law of Moses, certain foods were considered unclean for consumption, including any meat with the blood still in it ( Deuteronomy 12:16). The early church urged Gentile believers to abstain from eating bl**dy meat in order to not offend their Jewish brothers and to distance themselves from the practices of the pagans ( Acts 15:20).
Another reason for God’s command not to eat bl**dy meat undoubtedly concerned the sacrifices. Blood was the only atonement for sin ( 2 Chronicles 29:24; Hebrews 9:22); therefore, blood was seen as a sacred thing. God wanted to ensure that the blood of the sacrifices was always considered precious. To preserve the people’s appreciation of the sacrifices, God could not allow blood to become a common food.
The humane treatment of animals may have been another reason why God told Noah not to eat meat with the blood still in it. God did not want mankind to act like the carnivorous animals, who caught their prey and began eating it immediately. Instead, they were to drain the blood from the carcass and thus ensure the animal was dead before it was consumed.
Further, some have suggested God may have given this command for health reasons. Blood present in meat means it is not fully cooked, and eating uncooked meat can lead to disease or sickness. We recognize this danger today, as attested by the USDA-mandated warnings found in modern-day menus: “Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.” In ancient cultures, the risk could have been even higher, given the lower standards for food safety.
In Christ, these food laws are obsolete, and the New Testament gives no blanket instruction for the church concerning food ( Romans 14:14; 1 Timothy 4:3). Romans 14:1–4teaches, “Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. Who are you to judge someone else’s servant?” Scripture allows the Christian to have individual freedom regarding the consumption of meat and how it’s cooked.
In summary, God forbade eating bl**dy meat in the Noahic Covenant and in the Law of Moses. Both spiritual and physical reasons were likely behind this prohibition. In Christ, we have freedom of choice in this matter. However, as with all Christian freedom, we are to use self-restraint to avoid hurting another believer ( Romans 14:13–22). Ultimately, eating anything should be done to the glory of God ( 1 Corinthians 10:31).

Sanusi Adebisi Idikan- (1882 – 1838) first Ibadan notable entrepreneur and philanthropist by Savantboy(m) : 7:22 am On Aug 15, 2016

“When you go home, tell them of us and sayFor your tomorrow, we gave you our today”
This evocative epithet is enshrined on the Kohima World Memorial in Nagaland, built to commemorate Soldiers, who laid down their lives to repel Japanese assault in 1944 during World War II.
Yet successive Indian Governments since 1947 haven’t thought it fit, to construct a national war monument, to honour the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice to safeguard an independent India.
The Nigerian firmament, is replete with the stories of unsung heroes, be it in commerce, politics, enterprise, education, sports, medicine, traditional institutions and so on.
Sanusi Adebisi Idikan was an enigmatic personality that traversed Ibadan’s landscape in commerce, engaged in philanthropy and humaneness in the late 19th and 20th centuries.
COMING OF THEOFI-CLOTHE WEAVING HERO
He was born in 1882, in Ibadan during the reign of Aare Latoosa, the Baale of Ibadan, and died in 1938, during the reign of his bosom friend and Father In Law, Olubadan Okunola Abass Aleshinloye.
Despite being the biggest story of his time, Sanusi remained
an unsung hero. Adebisi’s father, Adesina, migrated from Efon Alaaye (Ijesha Stock) in present day Ondo State.
He was an itinerantOficlothe weaver- a traditional Yoruba clothe, earmarked for ceremonies, marriages, burials and so on.
He moved to Ibadan with his paternal half-brother- Alabi and settled in Aremo, in the household of Lanase.
Ibadan had become then, the most cosmopolitan city in Nigeria and perhaps black Africa. It was secure, accommodating and prosperous.
Adesina whilst plying his trade ofOfiweaving, was also spiritual consultant to Alaafin Atiba, who had betrothed his most precious daughter- Princess Ogboja to him, in recognition of Adesina’s great spiritual impact in his life.
Adesina, begat three children- Adetinrin, Adeoti and Adebisi.
Adetinrin and Adeoti were 20 years and 15 years respectively, older than Adebisi.
Adebisi grew up to join his siblings in the hawking of their father’sOficlothes in and outside the city of Ibadan. Within a short spade of time, he enlarged the space of the business by hawking theOficlothes outside Ibadan- Iwo, Ile Ogbo, Ikire, Oshogbo, Ife, Ondo and even the far flung place of Benin and before the age of 18 years, he became an instant success and even had to retire his siblings from the business.
… AND THE COCOA PLANTATIONS FOLLOW
AsideOfibusiness, he ventured into large scale farming, in Ashipa village, Mamu, where he developed a large cocoa plantation.
Cocoa had been introduced into Nigeria since 1874 and had by the 1890s, become Nigeria’s most notable cash crop, most especially in Yoruba land.
In Ashipa, he built a farmstead and numerous houses, for his farm workers.
The success in the Mamu cocoa plantation, encouraged him to acquire about 200 Acres of land in Apata Ibadan, where he developed another cocoa plantation.
ADEBISI BECOMES SOCIETY LEADER
In recognition of his success as a cocoa farmer and entrepreneur, he was made the Giwa Egbe (head of the society) by his other successful merchants, like Otiti, Ekolo, Afunleyin, Ladimeji from Isale Ijebu and Adeyemo Owonbuwo from Oopo-yeosa.
As Giwa of the society, he added Giwa to his name, to become Sanusi Adebisi Giwa.
Sanusi Adebisi Giwa’s acts of philanthropy were demonstrated in his first tax rescue effort in Ibadan. Payment of tax by every male adult was made compulsory by the colonial government.
Most Ibadan adults were subsistent farmers, who could not afford the payment of tax and that the punishment for tax evasion was, detention in Mapo, which also served as the Treasury Office.
A detained tax defaulter, usually found it difficult to get a contemporary who would bail him out, because most adults were tax evaders and an attempt by a tax evader to bail a tax evader, would certainly land such rescue effort into another detention.
TAX EVASION: THE SUICIDE STORY OF BAALE’S SON
This tax problem became such an agony, that a Balogun of Ibadan- Balogun Ola, son of Baale Orowusi, would rather commit suicide, than to see Ibadan Young men in perpetual tax agony and detention. This valiant self murder, was recognized by the Ibadan people, who named him Kobomoje (the one who displayed gallantry against timidity)
The payment of tax became a social symbol and tax defaulters were usually mocked and despised by the popular song-”Owoori ti d’ ode o, o o’ode o baba wa loko san”–”payment of taxation has come, our fathers were the first to pay, the idiots and lazy ones who have not paid are in detention in Mapo”- “Awon ode ti o le san o, won nbe lati mole ni Mapo.”
Adebisi was displeased with the tax situation in Ibadan. His philosophy had always been- (the rich must help the poor who are vulnerable)

Aare OnaKakanfo by Savantboy(m) : 9:19 am On Aug 15, 2016

The Title; Aare Ona Kakanfo
"Aare Ona Kakanfo was originally a title given to the generalissimo, the war general during the Old Oyo Empire, an Aare Ona Kakanfo would lead battles, fight wars, mobilise and train “soldiers” and conquer the enemies amongst other responsibilities.
Modern day Aare Ona Kakanfo is ceremonial, it has now become one of the titles (if not the main title) a Yoruba man can use to prove his mettle in Yorubaland and Nigeria in general.
Who will be the next ‘Warlord’ of the Yoruba nation? This appears a dynamic question among a large section of the Yoruba people of South-West region as it was the Oyo Mesi that chose persons to become Aare Ona Kakanfos, Oyo Mesi, a primordial traditional and aristocratic cabinet ascribed to Oyo-Ile.
Ancient historians and scholars who had visited the Old Oyo Empire during its reign, compared it to that of British House of Lords, as it had similar features and possessed incredible checks and balances which was peculiar because African kings and rulers would (in those days) usually rule supreme
But the contemporary Oyo setting is the sole responsibility of the Alaafin (King of Oyo) to appoint the chief.
It has been rumoured that former President Olusegun Obasanjo was lurking the title, he had "under the table" fought to earn the it but was unsuccessful despite several attempts. It was rumoured that he invited the Alaafin for meetings and ‘breakfast’ over the matter, at Aso Rock.
Perhaps Alaafin is playing his card close to his chest, he definitely knows the qualities and requirements specified for the title. The title itself is traditionally infrequent as one can tell from when Chief Ladoke Akintola was assassinated in 1966 to when MKO Abiola was conferred with the title, there was 22year gap in-between.
There is another allusion to this premium title, normally, ancient Ona Kakanfos were designed to win every war otherwise, they were expected to perish with it. The recent ones in Ladoke Akintola and MKO Abiola did not seem to change that as Ladoke Akintola was assassinated while protecting the interests of Yorubaland (the western region premier) and MKO Abiola died a very suspicious death while fighting for his presidential mandate.
The followings are the list of Aare Ona Kakanfo (from archive) that had been:
Kokoro gangna of Iwoye,
Oyatope of Iwoye,
Oyabi of Ajase,
Adeta of Jabata,
Oku of Jabata,
Afonja l'aiya l'oko of ilorin,
Toyeye of Ogbomoso,
Edun of Gbogun,
Amepo of Abemo,
Kurumi of Ijaye,
Ojo Aburumaku of Ogbomoso (son of Toyeje)
Latosisa of Ibadan
Ladoke Akintola (the premier of western region during the first republic)
And MKO Abiola who earned the title in 1988"

I was promised N300,000 to blackmail Abiara, 11 other pastors, ex-convict confesses by Savantboy(m) : 5:20 am On Aug 17, 2016

IT was a job that was to fetch him N300,000. But the table was turned and, instead, a 44-year-old ex-convict, Festus Balogun, ended up in police detention where he is cooling his feet. For months, the suspect had been on the wanted list of Ondo State Police Command as detectives tried to smoke him out of his hideout, following complaints by some pastors of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) that someone was blackmailing them for pecuniary gains.
A dragnet was set for the suspect and he was apprehended. Balogun confessed to the police that he was lured into the act by a marketer who ended up duping him.
The suspect, aka “Smart”, released from Kirikiri Maximum Security Prisons in December, last year, had released a compact disk (video) in which he allegedly blackmailed the 12 pastors of the church.
Balogun said he was lured into the blackmail by the marketer, who promised him an initial reward of N300,000 with more to come subsequently.
Sunday Vanguardgathered that the marketer, in conjunction with the suspect, rolled out the CD, titled,Asiri Tu(secret exposed), in which he claimed that 12 prominent pastors engaged him to kill for them to gain spiritual power.
The suspect alleged that the pastors were involved in ritual killing and other fetish acts.
“Some prominent men of God, numbering 12 and namely: Pastor Samson Olueamodede of Prayer Centre Church of God, Idanre Road, Akure and Pastor Samuel Kayode Abiara, the General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide and ten others, engaged him to kill for them to gain spiritual power”, a police source said.
Speaking with Sunday Vanguard when he was paraded by the police in Akure, the suspect confessed to the alleged crime and admitted that he was convicted for cultism and imprisoned in the Kirikiri Maximum Security Prisons in the past.
Balogun said he had never been in contact with any of the men of God he made the allegations against in his video and had never killed in his life. He said that all what he alleged in the video were lies in a bid to make money from the victims.
The suspect denied that he was sponsored by other pastors to tarnish the image of the CAC pastors. The suspect said he saw it as a means to make quick money for his survival after his jail experience.
Balogun claimed that he was induced by a marketer in Ibafo, Ogun State, who promised to reward him with N300, 000 for the CD. A source said the suspect had given useful information on how the fleeing marketer and producer would be apprehended by the police. He regretted that the marketer, after the release of the video, went underground. Balogun explained that “ the marketer has not given me anything after the video was released”.
He however pleaded that the pastors that were blackmailed should “ find a place in their hearts to forgive him” One of the 12 pastors that were blackmailed, Oluwamodede, who came to witness the confession” of the suspect, declared that he had forgiven his blackmailer. The pastor said God had vindicated him and his colleagues. He, however, urged security agencies to ensure that people who engage in such blackmailing acts are dealt with as specified by the law, so that it will serve as deterrent to others.
Speaking withSunday Vanguardafter the suspect was paraded, the state Police Commissioner, Mike Ogbodu, said the “ video CD was released and sold within and outside the country.”

Inside Prophet Abiara’s N7 billion Christ Apostolic Church, Agbala Itura by Savantboy(m) : 8:33 am On Aug 17, 2016

The founder of Christ Apostolic Church, Agbala Itura, Prophet Samuel Kayode Abiara is arguably the richest clergy of the Apostolic Church Worldwide. He also commands the greatest followership in that domination. Today, the popular
Prophet Abiara
ministry, Agbala Itura is worth over N7 billion and ranked among the top 10 ministries in Nigeria.
The ministry’s headquarters, both in Lagos and Ibadan are worth over N2.5 billion. The Lagos headquarters can conveniently sit over 20,000 worshippers with enough space within the church premises. And a 25,000 capacity church auditorium stands at New Ife Road, called Olode in Oyo.
He nets in an average of N10 million per month on tithe and an average of N100 million annually, via donations.
Prophet Abiara, as he is widely known, was called into the ministry of evangelism in 1963. Prior to his call, he was a clerk with the late Chief Agoro, who later became a great help to him in his ministerial adventure. He claimed he was called by God while working as a government officer as Okufo Farm Settlement, a village on the outskirts of Ibadan. He said that God called him to be a prophet. Thus, in 1963, he obliged the call and this gave birth to the Akufo church.
After some intensive preaching and revivals, his living room could no longer accommodate the large congregation, who saw the zeal and passion for leadership in him. He acquired a land and erected a church in Oke-Igbala, Oyo.
This church soon became so big that the founder had to relocate to the centre of the city. The significance of this relocation was that there was growth around the period.
CAC leaders such as Pastor Akindele and Budale used to visit Prophet Abiara at his Akufo base and encouraged him to join the CAC. This he did when he relocated to the centre of the city to form the CAC, Oke Imole, Agbeni in Ibadan, Oyo. This church was dedicated by CAC’s ministers. A land was further given to him as a gift in 1977 in appreciation of God’s divine intervention in the life of the donor, who had earlier expressed his gratitude by giving the preacher a huge sum of money which he rejected.
Abiara later shifted to the old Ife Road site and this became the site of the popular Christ Apostolic Church, Agbala Itura.
Thus, from a small and humble beginning, his personal ministry, Christ Apostolic Church, Agbala Itura became a force to be reckoned with in Nigeria’s ecclesiastical circle. From his living room, the international headquarters in Oyo can now boast of a 25,000 capacity church auditorium. It is worth about N1.5 billion.
At his international headquarters in Oyo, he nets an average of N10 million per month. The reason is that an average of 25,000 worshippers throng the place every Sunday and each pays an average of N100. They collect offerings about four times per service for different projects. That means they net an average of N2.5 million per service and four to five services in a month is N10 million. This is aside tithe and donations.
At Christ Apostolic Church, Agbala Itura, Lagos, they have an average of 20,000 worshippers. The Lagos headquarters is worth over N1 billon with administrative blocks. The ministry makes an average of N10 million per month and an average of N120 million on tithes per annum.
Meanwhile, the ministry abroad nets a huge sum of money because they believe so much in the clergy. He is constantly abroad for mission work. It is said that his ministry abroad which has so many branches nets an average of N00 million per month from donations, covenant partnership, tithes and offerings.
One thing that has helped Prophet Abiara is the extraordinary donations and gifts from worshippers. Insiders disclosed that his N500 million cathedral in Sango Ota was a donation from a worshipper.
Furthermore, he is the Chancellor of Christ International Divinity College (CINIDICO) at Brinmo, Osun State, Nigeria and it is an affiliate of Acadia University, Canada. This college has churned out a number of ministers under CAC and it’s worth N100 million.
As General Evangelist of CAC Worldwide and chairman of CAC (Agbala Itura), DCC Worldwide, Prophet Abiara has authored many books and audio CD tapes and DVD which have brought millions of naira to his ministry annually.
He is fond of expensive clothes, mostly African brocade, wristwatches and shoes. He has houses scattered around the nation but lives in a multi-million naira mansion in Ibadan, Oyo State. He has so many exotic cars and jeeps in his garage. He is married to Evangelist (Mrs.) Christiana Aduke Abiara, who is a partner, propelling the wheel of the gospel and the union is blessed with children and grandchildren.

King Solomon’s Wealth More Than Mr. Gates? by Savantboy(m) : 7:16 am On Aug 23, 2016

Everyone knows King Solomon’s wealth surpassed anything the ancient world had seen but was he richer than the world’s current richest man, Microsoft founder Bill Gates? Right now, Gates net worth is estimated at around $40 billion. To his credit, he’s signed a pledge to give half of it away and is at the forefront of a worldwide effort to eradicate AIDS and distribute computers to Third World countries. That aside, let’s take a hypothetical look at the numbers between the two men.
The New International Version of the Bible mentions King Solomon’s yearly salary at 666 talents of gold per year. One talent of gold equals 34.5 kg, which converts to 1109 troy ounces. A ballpark current value of gold is $960 per ounce. Multiply that out and the King’s salary was about $760 million per year. Not bad. Not bad at all. Multiply that by the 40 years he was in power and you end up with a a figure of slightly over $30 billion. That’s just salary!
But King Solomon’s wealth would not be complete without accounting for the other property and assets he owned. Horses, land, etc. Plus, we’re figuring that if he was investing by Biblical principles and had God’s voice in his ear, his return on investment would have been a healthy one. Just taking a wild guess, it seems like the King could have been the owner of a net worth that could easily have translated into $100 billion today.
While we’re pretty sure he got no royalties for having authored parts of the Bible, and he did have 700 wives under his care, which surely must have been a serious drain on his budget, but the guy was doing alright, even by today’s standards.

With the current INCREASE IN PRICE OF EVERYTHING we should be grateful to GOD that he has not INCREASED THE TITHE TO 15%.....Its still 10%. Be faithful & don't rob God! Even with the economic situation (inflation), the WAGES OF SIN has not changed! the price remains DEATH! While the gift of life is still FREE, despite the inflation. Isn't it wonderful.
Even Networks have increased the rate for call, still he hasn't change anything on how to call upon him.
Let's Praise God.

Hi our names are Larunsi Seyi (Lars) and Sanni Isiaka (heezy) we merged it all up to be Lareez when we first started our Journey at a high school called BOSWORTH college int’l, we started music from a competition, we both teamed up to go for in 2011, we performed our version of Wiz Khalifa’s song black and yellow, ours was titled Ama Success tho. From there
we became one and started going to Jodee’s studio, he named his price, we ran around, paid him, he made the beat and we produced our first song titled TOUCHED, we were not satisfied with the mixing so we went to S gee, we were not also satisfied so we recorded the same song again, it didn’t come out well also.
While we were in the studio we met another producer called Big Daddy then, he was very good, we spoke about recording from him, he looked at us and said, eyin oya eko Orin meaning you guys oya sing 4 me. We sang the chorus to our song BAMIJO, God! I love that song it was accepted by the whole studio, our hood and its A-list artistes. Everywhere we played the song people would look at us differently, some would say you guys are singing like Wizkid jooor, some would appreciate it, we moved on in 2012 to produce another piece ROLL 4 ME that song gave us more than BAMIJO it even granted us an interview at Rainbow FM shout out to them for the support, that song was a party banger during its days man.
We must confess 2013 was a mess to Lareez, we were unable to drop a snippet let alone a song, I think it was because of school sha o *laughing* we lost that street credibility, we didn’t come in contact with the booth for over a year, We lost touch with Big Daddy.
In 2014 we got to know S gee better, he put us in his crew “YBC”
we joined, made sweet music, since then he was either producing, recording or mixing our songs like LOVING YOU, ARA. Ori Mi was officially produced by one of our dudes Vlamjonzingbeat thanks boss he just gave us the beat and we did our
best on it. We met with Big Daddy again and recorded BOOGIE DOWN, DON’T TELL EM a cover to Jeremih’s featuring Lars’ Younger brother Larsen on the second verse and the KING IS HERE that D’banj’s competition we hope we win o.

KIRIJI : The World's Longest Civil War By Any Ethnic Group by Savantboy(m) : 11:39 am On Oct 01, 2016

OGUN Kiriji. The World’s Longest Civil War by any Ethnic Group (1877-1893).
The Kiriji War, an epic battle fought by the Yoruba for 16 years, is believed to be the World’s Longest Civil War by any ethnic group. The war, according to historians, was the fiercest tribal war among the Yoruba ethnic group of Southwest Nigeria and the Kiriji War, which ended almost 122 years ago led to the signing of a Peace Treaty on September 23, 1886..
How the War Started:
* Ibadan, a relatively new establishment that had the honour of filling the oversized shoes of the former Oyo Empire as the protector of the Yoruba nation against external attacks. But the military successes and wealth raked in by Ibadan in its military expeditions soon posed serious challenges.
* Like all global super-powers, Ibadan was said to embark on an expansionist programme that extended its reach to much of Yorubaland. It started appointing District Officers known as ‘Ajeles’ to rule the conquered territories on its behalf.
* It did not take long for the ‘Ajeles’ to transform into despots. They became corrupt and power-drunk, demanding ridiculous homage and exorbitant tributes.
* The Yoruba vassal states of Ijesha and Ekiti revolted and massacred the Ibadan-appointed ‘Ajeles’.
* They formed a confederacy called Ekiti Parapo (Ekiti Brotherhood) and declared their independence from Ibadan.
* Ibadan knew the dire consequences of allowing such action to go unpunished as it would encourage other conquered territories to declare independence.
* Ibadan wanted a centralized political system, with a central economy, a command military structure, a central administration and a forcefully united Yoruba Nation, while the other Yoruba subgroups wanted a decentralized structure, where all the federating units would be autonomous and would be able to plan their political future based on their own heritage.
* This led to the epic Yoruba war called the Kiriji War in 1877 when the Ibadan police, navy, infantry and artillery soldiers, led by ‘General’ Obadoke Latoosa invaded the entire commonwealth of Yoruba nation, pummeled the sacred institutions, raided the markets and the deepest hinterlands and sought to proclaim a forcefully united Yoruba nation.
* Kiriji war is the longest civil war by any ethnic group (1877 -1893) lasting 16years.The Major Actors and Causalities:
* Ibadan was led by its commander-in-chief, Aare Obadoke Latosa, while the Ekiti Parapo army was led by Fabunmi of Oke-Imesi.
* The Ibadan army pitched their camp at Igbajo while the Ekiti Parapo camped at Imesi-Ile.
* Somewhere along the line, Saraibi Ogedengbe (famously known as Ogedengbe Agbogungboro), the Balogun of Ijeshaland, became the General/Commander-in-Chiefof the Ekiti Parapo army, and the appointment greatly influenced the turn of events, as Ogedengbe was a renowned military strategist.
* The war got its name (Kiriji) from the thunderous sound “kiriiiiiiiiji”of the cannon guns which the Ekitiparapo purchased in large numbers. The cannon gave them an advantage over the Ibadans.* Ekiti Parapo enlisted several Yoruba tribes like Igbomina, Akoko, Egbe, Kabba and the Oworro (a Yoruba sub-tribe in Lokoja, Kogi State).
* Lagos, Ijebu and Egba were said to have assisted Ekiti Parapo against Ibadan, seen by all, as a common threat to the Yoruba commonwealth.
* Ilara Mokin in Ondo State was said to have been the headquarters of the Ekiti Parapo secret service.
* Several Yoruba towns, such as Osogun and Ijaiye, were wiped out in the course of the war. Igbajo barely escaped total destruction.* Eventually, Ibadan found itself fighting on five fronts. First, in the South against theEgba who confined their activities to raids and surprise attacks; secondly, against the Ijebu, in the same south, who pitched a camp against them at Oru under Balogun Onafowokan; thirdly, the main war at Kiriji in the East, where their forces fought a long battle against the Ekiti and Ijesa (Ekiti-Parapo forces) under the command of Ogedengbe; fourthly, at Offa in the north, where they faced the Ilorin Fulani who pitched their camp against the people of Offa (an ally of Ibadan); and finally at Ile-Ife where the Ife people joined the alliance against them in 1882.
* However, in spite of Ibadan's disadvantages in the war, these five forces could not effect its defeat. A state of stalemate was reached, from which only the intervention of an outside force could redeem the whole Yoruba Nation.

The Ibadan-Ijaye War (1861-1862) by Savantboy(m) : 11:44 am On Oct 01, 2016

The Ibadan-Ijaye warbroke out in 1861 between Ibadan and Ijaye over who to succeed the old Oyo empire as the political head of Yorubaland. The two rebelling towns sprang up from the ruins of theOld Oyo empirewhich was destroyed in 1836 by the Fulanis. Ibadan, Ijaye and the new Oyo, also called Oyo Atiba, succeeded the Old Oyo empire after its destruction. According toLatisosa, a Balogun of Ibadanland who fought in the war,“the war was a feud among three brothers over how to share common properties.” The three brothers, Ibadan, Ijaye and Oyo-Atiba failed to reach conclusion on who should suceed the Old Oyo as the political head of Yorubaland.
In 1855, Ibadanbeing the largest and the most populated of the three towns convened a meeting with the other towns to carve out the best way of restoring the fading unity and dignity of the land. At the meeting, theAlafinof the new Oyo (Oyo-Atiba) was said to be the most senior among the three towns, and as a result of this, other towns in Yorubaland should pay tribute to the new Oyo. Finally, Yorubaland has another head therefore proposing peace among some Yoruba towns like Ijebu and Egba.
In the same atmosphere, the Ijayes, Egbas and Ijebus raised some doubts on the policies of the Ibadans.Kurumi of Ijayesuspected that Ibadan’s intention was to create an empire of her own and not to set up the leadership of the New Oyo (Oyo-Atiba). This suspicion rose as Ibadan continue to accept annual tribute from her own subjects while she encouraged those of Ijaye to send theirs to the Alafin.
The last straw that broke the camel’s back was the succession issue to the throne of Oyo-Atiba after the death ofAtibain 1859. Ibadan supported the idea that Atiba’ son should succeed him so as to ensure the continuation of the Ibadan tribute policy.Kurumi of Ijayeopposed this claiming it was against the tradition of throne succession in Oyo. Kurumi’s opposition was supported by the Egbas and the Ijebus. Ibadansaw this as another attempt to bring an end once more to the unity of Yorubaland and vowed to prevent this by all means. Ibadan didn’t want Kurumi, the thenAre-Ona-Kakanfo, to become another disobedientAfonja, and it was on this ground that theIbadan-Ijaye warbroke out.
The war was fought in the forest between Ibadan and Ijaye. The Egbas joined the war on the side of Ijaye in order to prevent Ibadan form becoming a colossus in Yorubaland. The Ijebus also joined the Ijaye side in order to foil Ibadan’s attempt of creating enmity between them and Remo in order to secure a route to the coast. Later on, the Fulanis also joined the Ijaye to punish Ibadan from preventing them to spread Islam in Yorubaland.
The Ibadan army camped at Ilora, 13 miles north of Ijaye while the Ijaye forces, led byOgunbonna of Abeokuta, camped at Olokemeji on the River Ogun. The Ijaye, Egba, Fulani and Ijebu forces set a blockade to cut Ibadan off from the supplies from the British in Lagos. Ibadan retaliated by blockading Ijaye from food supplies. The British merchants in Lagoslobbied the Remos of Sagamu and the Ikorodus to smuggle ammunition from Lagos to Ibadan. The support Ibadan received from the British made her brought the Ijayes on their knees in 1862 following Kurunmi’s death in 1851. The cause of his death is still unknown, but however, it is believed he committed suicide. Other towns supporting Ijaye retreated immediately. The Egbas were displeased with the actions of the Remos and Ikorodus and sought to punish them, but the British army prevented this by defeating the Egba army. The Egbas avenged this in 1867 by expelling allBritish missionaries in Egbalandand burned the printing house of Iwe Irohin , the first newspaper in NigeriabyRev. Henry Townsend. The Ijebus also punished the British by not allowing any British nationals to enter Ijebuland. This was the foundation of the Battle of Imagbon (1892)also known as the1892 Ijebu expedition.

How to Tell the Difference Between Coke and Pepsi by Savantboy(m) : 11:49 am On Oct 12, 2016

Perhaps because they are so similar, Coke and Pepsi have been in a fierce competition for fans for decades. Learning how to taste the difference between these two iconic sodas is great as a parlor trick or simply for personal enjoyment. Keep in mind, however, that the differences are minor — in blind taste tests, most people can't tell which is which. [1]
Method One of Two:
Judging Its Taste
1
Judge its flavor qualities.Coke and Pepsi taste quite similar, but their flavors aren'texactlythe same. Start by taking a sip of your drink. Concentrate on the flavor — ask yourself, "What else does this taste like?" Everyone's sense of taste is different, but a few popular comparisons are as follows: [2]
*.Cokeis often said to resemble raisins with a hint of vanilla.
*.Pepsiis often said to resemble citrus fruit.
2
Judge its intensity.A soda's flavor isn't just about what other things it tastes like — it's also about how those tastes feel in your mouth. Take another drink of your soda. Concentrate on how the soda feels as it moves over your tongue and down your throat. Again, everyone's opinion is different, but some common observations are below: [3]
*.Cokehas a flavor that many define as "smoother." The flavor rises gradually and recedes gently. It should go down your throat easily.
*.Pepsihas a flavor that many define as "sharper." The flavor has a stronger "attack" — it rises in a sudden "burst" of flavor. It should be a little more intense as it goes down your throat.
3
Judge its sweetness.Take another drink. This time, concentrate on the sugar content in the drink. Is the sweetness overpowering, or is it more subtle? This can be difficult to judge unless you have both drinks in front of you so that you can compare them. According to official nutritional information: [4]
*.Cokehas a little less sugar, so it is slightly less sweet.
*.Pepsihas a little more sugar, so it is slightly more sweet.
4
Feel the carbonation level.Hold a sip of the soda in your mouth for a few seconds. Concentrate on the feeling of the carbonation bubbles. Is the drink quite fizzy, or slightly "flatter" than you're used to in a soda? This, too, is difficult to tell unless you have both drinks for comparison purposes. See below: [5]
*.Cokehas more carbonation, so it is slightly fizzier.
*.Pepsihas less carbonation, so it is slightly "flatter."
5
Smell its aroma. If you still aren't sure, try smelling your drink as you gently swirl it in its glass (like a wine snob). This releases a little more of the aromatic chemicals into the air so your nose can pick them up. Concentrate on the aroma — if you had to choose, does it remind you of raisins and vanilla (like the flavor of Coke) or citrus fruits (like the flavor of Pepsi)?

Method Two of Two:
Conducting a Taste Test
1
Have both sodas for comparison purposes. As noted above, all of the tiny differences between Coke and Pepsi are easier (though not exactlyeasy) to notice when you can compare both drinks (rather than tasting one and trying to guess what it is). To stand a better chance of telling Coke and Pepsi apart, have both drinks available and ready to drink so you can try one and then immediately try the other.
*.If you're doing this for entertainment purposes, have a friend blindfold you and scramble the drink containers so you're not sure which is which. If you're training to be able to tell the drinks apart in the future, feel free to leave the blindfold off.
2
See which you prefer after a sip test.Your first action should be to take only a small sip of each soda. While everyone's sense of taste will differ, this test isn't quite as random as you may think. See below:
*.Statistically, more people tend to prefer the taste of Pepsi after just one sip. Its sharper, sweeter taste makes it create a stronger impression. It can even caused increased stimulation in the part of the brain responsible for judging flavors. [6]
3
See which you prefer after drinking as much as you want. Now, continue to drink both sodas until you run out or you start to feel full. Take note of which soda you were more comfortable drinking a large amount of. If your preference switched (that is, you preferred one soda for the sip test but the other once you drank more of each), you're like most people. See below:
*.Statistically, more people tend to prefer Coke when drinking an entire can or more. Its smoother, less sweet flavor makes it easier to drink large quantities of it. [7]
*.Thus, if you liked one soda better after just a sip but liked the other one better once you drank more, the first one was probably Pepsi and the second was probably Coke.

Why Won't He Treat Her As A Queen All The Days Of His Life? by Savantboy(m) : 11:36 am On Oct 22, 2016

Sorry, I'm not too good with titles. This is the best i could come up with. This experience was sent to me this morning and i thought it would be good to share.
I, Sarah Adams take you, Lawson Kuti as my lawful wedded husband, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health, till death do us part” she smiled at him through her veil.
“You may now kiss your bride Mr. Lawson” The Pastor beckoned.
Lawson’s heart raced as he gently unveiled his bride’s face. She looked so beautiful. He gently bent over and placed a soft kiss on her lips. Sarah in turn embraced him tightly with tears of joy streaming down her face.
“Never leave me Sarah” He whispered in her ear.
“I will never leave you” she whispered and they slowly released themselves from the embrace.
“I present to you the latest couple!” The Pastor exclaimed excitedly
The church cheered and Sarah cried more in her husband’s arms
5 years Later
Sarah silently tip toed behind her husband. He was in his study, engrossed in reading. She smiled to herself and gently covered his eyes with both hands.
“It’s just you and I in this house Sara, plus, I smelled you the moment you walked in” He dropped
Sara released her hold, sighed and sat on the study table, “Why do you figure me out so easily? I can’t even surprise you! That sucks” she curled her arms around his neck
“You are my wife, nothing you do is supposed to surprise me” He playfully pecked her nose.
“But you’ve been in the study all day and I’m bored!” She rolled her eyes
“So what kind of fun do you suggest we have then?” He swooped her off the table in his arms
“No! no that kind of fun!” She hit him playfully till he put her down
“Ok”, He folded his arms on his chest, looking into her eyes, “So what do you want us to do?”
“Not us. Actually, all I want is to play with your play station and you’ve hidden it again! Just give it to me and you can continue your reading, pleaaaseee” She blinked her eyes playfully
“No way”, He went back toward his study chair and sat, “Not my play station”
“Why! You never let me touch it…like its your baby” She sulked
“Well”, he rolled his eyes, “Not like you’ve given me a baby yet”
Sara paused for a moment. Did he just say that to her? The words struck her deep down
“You shouldn’t have said that Lawson…” She managed to say, her countenance changing.
“But it’s true…I’m only saying the truth Sara” He turned to face her, still sitting on the chair.
“The truth? You think I don’t want us to have kids?”
“Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that…” He stood to face her now.
“Then what are you saying Lawson? Tell me, what is the truth?”
“Let’s not do this today…please. You can have the play station and play all you want. It’s in my footwear locker and the key is in my Bible”
“You always do this…hurting me with your words” Her voice began to shake
“Don’t start Sara please”
“Tell me why you said those words to me! I want to know!”
“Because I’m tired! I want to be a father! I want to have my own kids Sara…”
” and you think I don’t?!” Sara flared, trying not to let the tears pour
“Then why can’t you get pregnant Sara? This is the fifth year we are trying.” He clenched his teeth and walked out of the study room.
Sara was in shock. She sat on the chair for some seconds, stood up again and sat on the chair again…this time she held on to her blouse and burst into tears.
2weeks after
“Lawson, wake up please” Sara tapped him
Lawson gently opened his eyes and looked at the alarm clock by his bedside, “It’s 2:00am Sara…”
“It’s urgent”
“I’m listening” He said drowsily
“Mother says we should come for tests. She says she’s spoken to her doctor and he said we should come.”
“What?” Lawson opened his eyes now, “Your mother is in the UK for Christ’s sakes”
“Let’s just do it. We can go for the weekend, lets just give it a shot, please.”
“No. That would be rather expensive and…”
“It’s my birthday today and the only thing I want from you is this trip”
Lawson fell quiet now. For the past two years now, his wife’s birthday skips his mind…totally.
“I’m…I’m sorry Sara…It skipped my mind…”
“It always does” She lay down back on the bed, backing him.
Lawson wrapped his arms around her waist, “I said I’m sorry…”
No response.
Lawson sighed, “Fine, we go this weekend”
“Really?” She turned sharply, excited
“If it will make you happy today”
“Thank you baby” She hugged him.
A week after
Sara jerked at the vibration of the phone in her pocket.
“Hi mom!” she pressed the phone to her ear with her shoulders, wiping the washed dishes with her hands.
“Honey…”
“What is it mom?” she pressed it harder
“The result…the result of the tests…” her mother cried
Sarah gently dropped the plate and the wiper, hear racing…”Just say it mom…”
That night
“I can never have children Lawson…” Sara cried
Lawson felt his world crash right in front of him, “W…what?”
“Mama called today…she’s gotten the tests results”

Before A Communication Mast Is Mounted In Your Property(read) by Savantboy(m) : 9:22 am On Oct 25, 2016

In one of our training sessions,my mentor collected a Nokia torch hand set with fully charged battery. He brought a fresh egg. Then he puts the egg and the handset together and place them into a polythene bag. He tied the bag and told us to call the phone number..... Calling....calling.. ..busy.. busy.
When the battery is drained down, he gave the phone to the owner and cracked the egg.
Behold the egg was cooked!!.. done!!!. We were surprised and asked for the explanation. He told us that every handset emits electromagnetic rays. That it was the rays that was responsible for cooking of that egg. He also said that for device to be named " hand set " by international bodies is not by accident.
He said that it is never a pocket set. He went on to say that males (men) have egg resemblance in between their legs...scrotum. He admonished men to stop putting their hand set in their pockets, but to hold on hand. If you continue to put set in your pocket, the radiation from it will denature your spermatozoa and cook your scr0t*m . That is why our men will marry 2 to 3 years no Issues. They begin to blame their wife. They will visit men of God for fasting and prayers. God will answer them and reverse the condition, but coming out of the church, they put back the handset in their pockets and continued to denature their sperm and cook their scr0t*m again.
Before a communication mast is mounted in your property, you will be paid between 10 to 20 million naira as long as you sign a document the network provider gives you. People don't even read the document. Only sign and collect the pay. The document reads in part within the middle ( we are giving you this money to buy land in another place and relocate, because what we are about to mount here is dangerous to your health ) . If you continue to stay there in about 10 to 15 years period, you and others living there will be suffering from one cancer case to the other.
Please guys, don't be putting handset in your pockets. Inform your friends and relatives about the dangers. Ladies inform your brothers, male friends and relatives the same.
By putting sets in your pocket or inside bra Can cause prostrate and bre*st cancer respectively.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to discuss a little on one of the burning health issues.

Before You Vandalise That Communication Mast Next To Your House by Savantboy(m) : 11:09 am On Oct 25, 2016

Do mobiles affect brain function?
The MTHR's set of volunteer studies of brain function is one of the largest carried out anywhere. The studies found exposure to radio frequency fields generated by mobile phones had no detectable effect on brain function. They looked at factors such as memory and response times, and found no changes.
Do mobile phones and mobile phone masts cause unpleasant symptoms?
The MTHR's research found no evidence that radiofrequency radiation from mobile phones or masts causes unpleasant symptoms. Its research programme included some of the largest and most robust studies of this question.
The MTHR recognised specific concerns about TETRA radios and base stations used by emergency services, but the report released in 2014 said there's currently no evidence of specific adverse effects related to exposure to TETRA signals.
Are there biological reasons to believe mobile phones might be harmful?
The Stewart Report noted that a small number of experiments suggested radio waves from mobile phones could cause biological effects in cells and animals. The MTHR commissioned careful studies of two possible cellular effects identified in the Stewart Report: stress protein production and calcium signalling.
Stress proteins are produced when cells experience an increase in temperature. Previous research suggested these proteins were produced in nematode worms when exposed to mobile phone emissions thought to be too weak to result in significant temperature rises.
However, the studies supported by the MTHR showed the stress proteins were in fact produced as a result of a slight temperature rise (around 0.2C) caused by radio wave exposure. Since this was already a well documented effect and considered harmless, the MTHR didn't propose further research in this area.
Calcium signals – produced by mammalian cells – are important in controlling various functions of the cells. Research published in 2010 found no evidence that exposure to radio waves had any effect on these signals.
Are mobile phone masts dangerous?
Levels of exposure to radio wave radiation from mobile phone masts (base stations) are generally much lower than from mobile phones and are well below international guidelines.
Audits of the amount of radiation produced by base stations in the UK found the radiation produced is generally less than 0.005% of the guideline values.
What's currently considered the biggest risk associated with using mobile phones?
The MTHR reports stated that the biggest known threat mobile phones pose to health is from their use when driving, as using them at the wheel impairs driving performance and increases the risk of accidents.
There's no statistical evidence that mobiles are more of a distraction than a conversation with a passenger, but passengers are normally aware of traffic conditions and are therefore likely to stop talking in potentially dangerous situations.
